Nashville is my home town. I consider myself somewhat of a visual historian. Many of the places I photograph are part of my memory as a boy. As time goes by, it has become important to me, to leave a photographic archive of Nashville.
Because I am shooting so close to home, I can make the necessary trips to the same location until the image pleases me. Then I move to the next image.
The image to the right “Reflections of Glory” represents about three years, and many trips before all the parts and pieces came together.
Much of my work is shot on 8X10” film or stitched digital files. This process slows me down and forces me to contemplate exactly what I want the image to convey.
